Serena Williams may not be making a lot of appearances on the tennis court these days, but she’s making up for it by showing off her rather large posterior on the beach.

After almost a year of nagging injuries, including a rather serious pulmonary embolism, Serena has vowed to make it back to the court.

I’m just taking it one day at a time. Luckily I was able to catch it soon enough that my career won’t be affected. I said I wanted to return this summer. I was hoping to return way sooner than that. But I love tennis. Now more than anything, I have so much to look forward to in just playing. Being so close to the scariest moment in my life, I just really want to come back and be able to do well.

In the meantime though, Serena is looking to get back in shape and showed off her impressive physique at Miami Beach yesterday. Judging from the amount of cellulite residing on her tree trunk legs, we’re guessing she’s still probably a few months away.
