SITE NEWS: This week is “Guyism Opinions” week
A couple weeks ago we put out a call to action to Team Guyism out there and asked for your submissions to get the opportunity to be seen by Guyism’s three million monthly readers. This week, we introduce the cream of the crop of the mountain of applications we got to populate our fully realized “Guyism Opinions” section.
In addition to our pilot duo of “Guyism Opinions” contributors Katie Nolan’s “This Week in Women” and Dane Robert and Brandon Mendelson’s “Dear Pricks”, we’re bringing on board four more new writers who’ll be dropping knowledge on you weekly.
Every Monday you can expect the writings of Colin Sokolowski, also known as “The Accidental Adult”. As an author and personality, Sokolowski has written for and appeared on a variety of prominent outlets espousing his theories on coping with adulthood. His essays will tackle the issues men face when becoming adults in oft-hilarious fashion.
Tuesdays will belong to Kevin Brink, our money expert. Brink brings writing credentials from MSN Money and will enlighten you with financial advice you can actually use catered solely to the modern man.
Wednesdays continue to be dominated by “Dear Pricks”, the only advice column that matters.
Thursdays are now home to Colin Joliat’s “Every Guy’s Guide”. Each week, Joliat will tackle an important thing men should know about but may not with a funny tone. You may recognize Joliat from the comments here as The Flint Skinny or from his site, coincidentally called The Flint Skinny.
Fridays are the domain of our main girl Katie Nolan of the fantastically funny Bitches Can’t Hang blog with her weekly takedown on women, the aforementioned “This Week in Women”. Girl has crushed it every week she’s written for us (and during my brief hiatus last week) so keep an eye on her.
And rounding out the line-up on Saturdays is Kevin Arnold, a PhD candidate studying issues relating to masculinity. His work in chronicling “bro culture” has made the site str8bro a cult favorite and his first article tackling athletes and the “f word” ran this past weekend. Each week, in “On Masculinity”, Arnold will tackle a new issue related to modern masculinity and dissect it with his open-minded, PhD brain. Heady stuff, for sure.
So there you go, your inaugural “Guyism Opinions” class. Moving forward, we may open this up wider but, for now, these six are the best we could find bringing you something exceedingly different from the lists, news, and videos we bring you daily. Make sure to come back every morning this week to check them out and let them know what you think.
