Sports pic of the day

I’d like to say Roy Williams was being a dick in this picture but I can’t say with any certainty what’s going on. I can say however, that in general , Roy Williams likes to regularly say fairly dumb things.

Take for example, his recent comments on Haiti.

“Williams said his massage therapist told him that what happened in Haiti is a ‘catastrophe’ and what he’s having with his basketball season is a ‘disappointment.’ ‘I told her that depended on what chair she was sitting in, because it does feel like a catastrophe to me because it is my life.’”

Listen, anytime a sentence starts with a Marie Antoinette-esque “his massage therapist told him”, its not going to end well. Especially considering the subject matter is an earthquake stricken country that’s one of the poorest in the Western Hemisphere.

I fully expected a “Let them eat cake” line but alas, Roy Williams is a bit smarter than I gave him credit for.
