Despite the valiant efforts of the Lady Cats dance team, the Bobcats were swept by the Magic in their first round series.
The series was an odd one to say the least. Dwight Howard scored 6 points last night in only 23 minutes and spent a majority of the series on the bench in foul trouble. The Magic were forced to rely on their supporting cast including Vince Carter, who has been known to disappear in playoff series from time to time. In fact, outside of Howard, the rest of the starting five scored in double figures.
The Magic are cementing themselves as a legitimate threat to King James run to the NBA finals.
As for the Bobcats, rumors of Larry Brown leaving were circulating before the final whistle even blew. After the game, he said he would speak with his family and with team owner Michael Jordan about his future.
In Brown’s world, that’s code for “I have a flight out to LA to accept the Clippers GM position”.
