State of Michigan to Shutdown?

The State of Michigan has no budget as of early Friday Morning. If a budget is not reached sometime this weekend, the State will shutdown all major operations on Oct 1st.

Wanna gamble at a Detroit Casino?

No can do, state regulators need to be on hand.

Did you just turn 16 and want to get your license at the Secretary of State? Or do you need to renew the plates on your car?

Are you unemployed and waiting for a check?

Not right now

Do you work for the State?

Sorry. Better have money saved up.

The ironic thing about all of this is the State Legislature is the governing body that approves the budget. If they dont approve one, they are essentially declining to get paid.

Can you imagine voting for yourself to not get paid?

Foolish actions on both side of the aisle. Shame on you guys
