‘Suck for Luck’ campaign leads to Tony Sparano putting house up for sale

For the second time this year, Miami Dolphins coach Tony Sparano has put his house up for sale. In January, the house went up on the market, presumably because the team was openly courting Jim Harbaugh. This time, however, it appears the Dolphins record and the continued ‘Suck for Luck’ campaign is the motivating factor.

“When I moved into my house I had seven people [in the house],” he said. “My daughter just moved out two weeks ago to go to college in Texas. I have zero people. Nobody is upstairs.”

Sparano first tried to sell the five-bedroom lakefront home in January but canceled the listing in March.

“It was out there a while ago and we took it off and put it back on, and took it off because of the season. There’s nobody there. That’s the God to honest truth.”

In this downtrodden economy, the Sparano’s expect to take a loss on the home. After buying it in 2008 for $1.7 million, it’s now up for sale at $1.499 million.
