The Super Bowl is more than a just a football game now, its a worldwide entertainment event. Some would argue that the week leading up to the game is over-hyped.
Take for example, Media Day, the Tuesday of Super Bowl week.
In what started as a respectable forum for sports journalists to ask questions of players/coaches has turned into a stage for circus freaks. And we mean that most literally. Over the years, there’s been cross-dressers, marriage proposals, dancing, and a bevy of ignorant woman asking things of a sport they watch once a year.
Far be it for us to make fun of these women too much, because frankly, they’re easy on the eyes.
So let’s take a look back at some of the hottest women on Super Bowl media day.
Inez Sainz
Sainz refers to herself as the “hottest sports reporter in Mexico“. And really, who are we to argue. She’s usually dressed in jeans that are so tight, its a wonder she can breathe. Terrell Owens must have noticed as well because she was the only reporter he spoke to on media day 2005. And let’s just say we would be shocked if Owens actually made eye contact with her. You know, sorta like the entire New York Jets team earlier this year.
Maria Menounos
It’s almost unfair to put a woman as highly regarded as Menounos on this list. This well-known hottie has done Super Bowl media day work for Access Hollywood. She once even broke the cardinal rule of journalism by showing her bias towards her Patriots a few years back. Given her hotness in that jersey, I’m going to go ahead and say everybody was quite alright with it.
Ines Gomez Mont
Ines Gomez Mont is yet another crazy Mexican TV reporter who is famous for a stunt you probably recall. Putting herself in a wedding dress, interrupting media day and proposing to Tom Brady. Considering Brady’s affinity for blondes, it’s no wonder he passed. I, however, am more than willing to oblige.
Veronica Grabowski
Former Miss Nevada USA 2008, Veronica Grabowski, was a correspondent for Super Bowl XLII on an ESPN radio station in Nevada. And by correspondent, we of course mean, she showed everyone her amazing cleavage. Speaking of correspondents, I saw some great ones at the gentleman’s club this weekend.
Mireya Grisales
Working for Telemundo, a TV station in Mexico, Grisales made quite an impression on players when she sported a “Dream Team 69″ shirt. While interviewers usually flock to players, it was the other way around as Super Bowl participants gathered around to get a good look at the Mexican TV star. “I’m here looking for a dream team so I need a man of steel,” she said… “”I’m looking for a man that can play on my team.” ME! ME! I can play.
Renee Sapp
This Salsa dancing phenom led several players in a dancing competition at Super Bowl 43 two years ago. Fair to say that the participants were more interested in Renee’s smoking hot body than the actual dancing part. A few players even got a bit too handsy (pictured below).
Sarah Spain
Spain made headlines a few years back for auctioning herself off on eBay for a trip to the Super Bowl. “I LOVE football, LOVE the Bears, can drink with the best of them, and let’s be honest, I’m darn cute,”. Essentially, Spain is what we refer to as the “perfect woman”. She parlayed the eBay thing into a gig as a blogger and TV personality.
Marisol Gonzalez
No way, another Mexican TV “reporter? Color me shocked. Gonzalez worked for TV Azteca’s rival, Televisa for the 2008 Super Bowl. She’s also competed for Miss Universe 2003, modeled, and acted the last few years.
Jenn Brown
Brown deserves a lot of credit here, she knows her stuff. She’s worked for ESPN and Inside the NFL on Showtime. Prior to that, her claim to fame was going to the same school as Erin Andrews (University of Florida). She also looks great in a bikini, not like that’s important or anything.
Kimberly Caldwell
If you know who Kimberly Caldwell is, then I’m going to take a wild guess and say that you’re not a fan of the site. It’s not often we hit on past American Idol contestants here. For what it’s worth, Caldwell did a splendid job as a correspondent for E! last year during Super Bowl week. Her downfall though is that she doesn’t whore herself out like some of her Mexican TV counterparts. She could use a lesson or two from Ines Sainz.
Molly Querim
Though Molly is not as well-known as some of the other woman on this list, she nonetheless has quite a resume. Molly anchors ESPN digital media content including ESPN Rise TV, GameUP, MMA Live and College Football Spotlight. Additionally, Molly has helped launch the highly acclaimed Streak for the Cash. Oh, she won an Emmy too. What a go-getter.
Melyssa Ford
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so judging from this picture I think it’s fair to say the Seattle Seahawks were big fans of Melyssa Ford at the 2006 Super Bowl. If you’re not familiar with Ms. Ford’s work, well, you’re certainly missing out. The Canadian model and actress is simply referred to as “Jessica Rabbit” by many in the industry. Why you ask? For her voluptuous figure of course.
Kellie Pickler
Yet another American Idol finalist who for some reason was asked to be a correspondent for the Super Bowl — this time for Jay Leno. Pickler isn’t exactly the creme de la creme of intelligence, but man, she’s got great assets. She was smart enough to parlay her success into some excellent plastic surgery work. No really, she went from like a B cup to “wow, you have big jugs… I mean, your boobs are huge“.
