Surfing champ Stephanie Gilmore attacked by random man
We certainly don’t condone the mugging or beating up of human being, male or female. But when you beat up an attractive female surfer, well then dammit, now you’ve gone and pissed us right off. World surfing champ Stephanie Gilmore suffered a broken wrist and cuts to her hands and head when she was attacked in Australia yesterday.
Gilmore’s friends and neighbours made a dramatic citizens’ arrest of the accused attacker after he allegedly returned to the scene. They managed to detain the man until police arrived.
A police spokeswoman would not confirm Gilmore as the victim but said the woman suffered defensive wounds as she fought off the man who attacked her with the pole on the steps leading up to her Hill Street unit on the Queensland-NSW border.
He allegedly struck Gilmore twice with the pole before fleeing the area on a pushbike.
Good to know somebody stepped up to the plate and caught the culprit. And while I’m not keen on the Australia legal system, I do hope there is a clause that includes public castration of any man caught beating up hot blonde women. In fact, let’s go right ahead and make that a standard clause worldwide.
