TCU gets jab in at Ohio State President Gordon Gee
TCU’s victory over Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl was significant for a number of reasons. Most importantly to them though, they were able to stick the knife pretty deep to those who doubted them. One of their biggest haters was OSU President Gordon Gee who made this statement in November:
“I do know, having been both a Southeastern Conference president and a Big Ten president, that it’s like murderer’s row every week for these schools,” Gee said in late November. “We do not play the Little Sisters of the Poor. We play very fine schools on any given day.
“So I think until a university runs through that gauntlet that there’s some reason to believe that they not be the best teams to [be] in the big ballgame.”
TCU responded in kind with several electronic billboards in Columbus the last few days. Suffice to say it’s the equivalent of giving Gee the ultimate middle finger.
