Terrell Owens’ baby mama says he owes $5k

Terrell Owens is making headlines for all the wrong reasons this week. On Monday, we told you that T.O. may have torn his ACL on his reality show. Though his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, denies it, nothing definitive has come from the Owens camp as of yet. To add insult to injury in an amazingly bad stretch of news, the mother of Owens’ child says he now owes $5,000 in child support. Simple mistake or is T.O. trying to skirt daddy duties?

Owens “has failed and refused to pay the full amount of child support for June 2011,” Atlanta attorney Randall Kessler wrote in court records. Owens’ financial advisers have informed Smith that he’s decided to no longer pay the full amount, Kessler added.

Kessler said Wednesday that Smith doesn’t have any ill will toward Owens.

“She simply asks that he follow the order to which he agreed,” he said. “Rather than discussing his situation with her or her lawyers first, he simply cut his child support.”

Perhaps Owens sees the writing on the wall. With the uncertainty, both in the lockout and his own health, maybe he just realized how much $5,000 is to his financial bottom line.

Actually, I take that back. In the 2010 season, T.O. made two million dollars, so the child support only accounts for 3% of his entire salary…excluding endorsements and monies from the “T.O. Show” of course. So yea, if true, it’s fair to label him as a cheapskate and a deadbeat dad.
