The Best Team in the NBA is……..

With all the whining and complaining going on that the Pistons need to make a trade, its a wonder how they have produced 2 double digit winning streaks this year.
Going into the all-star break, the Pistons are the hottest team in the NBA. Winners of 10 straight and most by way of blowouts.
And while the starting five have taken care of business, its Detroit’s bench that has been wearing down other teams.
Take for example tonight’s game against Indiana. The starters minutes were minimal:
Tayshaun Prince 29
Antonio McDyess 17
Rasheed Wallace 21
Chauncey Billups 30
Richard Hamilton 19
.
When your leading scorer only plays 19 minutes and you drub a team by 16 points, only good things can come out of it.
The inspired play of Amir Johnson as of late seems to have pushed Jason Maxiell to play harder and even more tenacious than he was before. So much so that ESPN named him one of their best non-stars in the NBA.
So while other teams make deals and try to find some chemistry before the playoffs(Phoenix and LA) start or are limping to the finish line(Boston), Detroit seems like the team to beat.
