The Detroit Tigers have hygiene problems

The Detroit Tigers have some serious problems. Not only did they get no-hit by Matt Garza last night, but they also have seem to have serious issues with their hygiene.

In the last 24 hours:

-An ESPN report that more than half of Comerica Park vendors violated health codes including this “fish nugget” of information—”When inspectors measured the temperature of some cod at a high-end stadium club, it was 68 degrees — more than 25 degrees warmer than required; inspectors demanded it be discarded.”

-During last night’s game, 2nd base umpire Marty Foster accused Jim Leyland of spitting on him during an argument. Leyland vehemently denied the accusation saying “it was sunflower seeds”. Well, if it’s o.k. to expel food from your mouth Jim, next time, can you make sure you eat some of that Comerica Park fish?

-Tigers rookie Brennan Boesch has 4 hits since the all-star break and his batting average has dropped 26 points in 10 days. He’s been trying to find his swing lately and evidently, it wasn’t located in that orifice.
