3. Drafting Gurus, Mel Kiper

With his slicked back hair and penchant for pushing guys farther up the draft, Kiper and his ilk crowned Reggie the first pick the moment the man farted his junior year in college.

2. The NCAA Cover Jinx?

We all know of the Madden Jinx but is there one for the NCAA as well. Think about it, Reggie was fairly healthy until 2007 when he partially tore his PCL. And then this year, he has the MCL injury to go along with the devastating microfacture surgery.

For every Eddie George, Ricky Williams, and Barry Sanders there are the Eric Crouch, Jason White, and Rashaan Salaams of the world. These days, winning the Heisman trophy just isn’t all its cracked up to be. I bet a lot of guys would forego that one night in New York for even one successful NFL season.
