The Jerry Sandusky cover-up included more than just Penn State administrators

Just when you thought you’d heard the absolute worst from the Jerry Sandusky-Penn State scandal comes this story from the mother of ‘Victim 1.’ In an exclusive interview with Good Morning America she described how Sandusky was given unfettered access to her son’s high school, even allowing him unsupervised visits off-campus that she wasn’t aware of. Even worse, a wrestling coach caught Sandusky lying on top of the boy in a secluded weight room.

Now, in fairness, the interview does not disclose when high school administrators called police, although it does appear to be after the boy spoke to guidance counselors.

That being said, the fact Sandusky was given that kind of access to the school is disturbing especially given the locker room incident. The cover-up for the coach seems to be more widespread than initially thought and goes well beyond the confines of Happy Valley.

Disgusting.
