The PSU scandal has become a circus

The Penn State University Campus has officially become Ground Zero for the most explosive scandal the NCAA has ever seen and it doesn’t appear things will cool down anytime soon. Not when head honcho Joe Paterno holds court with the media at his leisure.

It’s a circus and the adults who ignored gross allegations of child rape star as the clowns. Just look at this Paterno interview outside his house last night.

As Jimmy Traina of Sports Illustrated notes, given the seriousness of the Grand jury report, “his demeanor should be more somber.” Especially when more victims are coming forward, seemingly by the hour. The official number now stands at 20 but sadly, it appears Jerry Sandusky’s disgusting and criminal behavior goes back many, many years.

As for the students, the feelings are mixed. There are those who stand firmly behind Joe Paterno and support him blindly but there are others who wonder if he could have stopped a sexual predator in his path a decade ago.

Watch as this kid berates students for singing and celebrating.

And although it doesn’t look like there were riots on campus last night, the police were certainly prepared for one.
