Bobby Orr is one of the greatest hockey players of all-time.
Drew Miller has scored 10 goals in his entire hockey career.
Up until last night, the similarities between the two were few. That is to say, the only thing they had in common, were wearing hockey jerseys in the NHL.
But that didn’t stop Miller from producing a highlight reel goal that looked eerily familiar to NHL fans. As Miller took a long pass up ice, Lightning goalie Mike Smith came out to poke check the puck away. But Miller sidestepped him long enough to put the back in the net while flying through the air.
It certainly wasn’t in the same universe as Orr’s legendary and historic Stanley cup clinching goal. But for one brief second in time, Drew Miller was Bobby Orr.
