The Tigers’ Brennan Boesch makes an incredible catch
Rookie phenom Brennan Boesch is having a hell of a year at the plate. He’s hitting .343 with 4HR, 22 RBI since filling in for an injured Carlos Guillen. Along with teammate Austin Jackson, both are making an early case for rookie of the year consideration.
But it was Boesch’s play in the field yesterday that deserves some recognition. On a fly ball into the left field stands, Boesch risked life and limb careening into the stands at full speed.
Dare I say reminiscent of Derek Jeter, although, this one certainly wasn’t face first.
