The props and odds for The 147th Open Championship at Carnoustie in Scotland actually look pretty good for Tiger Woods this year.

And some of that may have to do with the fact that even Woods himself thinks he actually has a shot at this year’s British Open crown.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Woods said, “You don’t have to be long to play on a links-style golf course,” Woods said. “Look what Tom [Watson] did at Turnberry at [age] 59, I believe he was. So it’s possible. Greg [Norman] was there at Birkdale, I think about 54-ish, somewhere around there, 53, 54. It certainly can be done.”

So while Tiger has been stuck on 14 Majors since his last win at the U.S. Open in 2008, is this the year he re-starts his run ay Nicklaus’ 18 Major wins?

If you ask the experts like those over at BetDSI Sportsbook, the answer is a resounding maybe.

Oddsmakers understand weather will have a massive impact on scoring, and they seem to think the pros will be able to fair much better than they did at the U.S. Open. They are projecting the winning score to be -6 to -8.

Below you will find props for the Open Championship. Rory McIlroy is currently the favorite to win at BetDSI with +1000 odds. He is followed by Dustin Johnson (+1100), Tiger Woods (+1500), Brooks Koepka (+1500) and Justin Spieth (+1600).

Additionally, Tiger Woods’s odds to be a playing member of this year’s Ryder Cup team were taken off the board at BetDSI this week after they reached -1000 (risk $1,000 to win $100).
