TIGERS HOLD PLAYERS ONLY MEETING: LOSE AGAIN

I never understood these “players only” meetings. I can’t recall a time in recent history where they did a lot of good.

And now, after getting swept by the Royals this team is in serious trouble. Not “we won’t make the playoffs” kind of trouble but the dreaded “we won’t be relevant in July” kind of trouble.

The Tigers scored an amazing 6 runs this series against the Royals. With the supposed talent on this team, you would think that they could score 6 runs with half their lineup in a slump.

The Tigers need something major to happen and they need it to happen NOW.

Not next week, not tomorrow, right now.

If that means releasing some players, if that means benching all-stars. So be it.

If that means firing pitchin and hitting coaches or even your manager, so be it.

9 games under .500 is not acceptable.
