The new technical foul rules look like a hoot

The NBA iron fist slammed down on the scorers table this summer. No more incredulous looks, no more claps in frustration and certainly no questioning of officials.

Thus far in the preseason, it has been nothing short of a disaster. Twice, I’ve seen players receive technicals for reacting to their bad play as opposed to the officials. But according to the league, there is no gray area.

The Celtics found this out first hand when they were T’d up three times in a matter of fifteen seconds last night. Legendary Celtics’ announcer Tommy Heinsohn was none too pleased with the calls and he let everyone know how he felt.
