Memphis Grizzlies swingman Tony Allen is out a hell of a lot of money this Christmas season as $20,000 worth of shoes, shirts and sweaters were stolen from a rental car. The incident occurred after his mother returned the car with the merchandise still in it.

So, this wasn’t necessarily the work of thieves as opposed to the stupidity of one individual.

His mother returned a rent-a-car to Enterprise at 7263 Winchester, and left the goods in the car. She later realized that she didn’t have the merchandise, called the rental car company and was told that nothing was found in the vehicle.

My first thought after reading this story was sympathy as no one deserves to have anything stolen from them. My second thought was, “damn, I should be friends with Tony Allen.” Think about it, even if you’re just a fringe acquaintance of the guy, you’ll probably make out like a bandit with at least $200-300 dollars worth of SWAG.

So, uh, Tony, drop me an email or a Tweet. I’m loyal, I’m hip, and I can easily fit into your entourage without you noticing.
