Tony La Russa has decided to call it a career announcing his retirement as the St. Louis Cardinals manager at a press conference this morning.

La Russa leaves on top, having led a wild card team that barely made into the playoffs to a World Series title. All in all, the numbers for La Russa are impressive and will certainly earn him a Hall of Fame induction one day.

4-time manager of the year (1983, 1998, 1992, 2002)
3 World Series titles (1989, 2006, 2011)
6 Pennants (1988-1990, 2004, 2006, 2011)
