TOO MANY KWAMES IN DETROIT

Brown’s agent, Mark Bartlestein, told ESPN.com on Monday night that the former No. 1 pick in the 2001 draft has reached a verbal agreement on a new contract with the Detroit Pistons.

Frankly, this town isn’t big enough for two Kwame’s. And the way Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick runs his ship, I wouldn’t be surprised if Kwame Brown had a “tragic accident”.
