wembley stadium UK to host two NFL games in 2010

Apparently, one game in London wasn’t enough for crazed English “football” fans. (Real football that is, not that sport where you uh, you know, use your foot)

A second game has been added to the 2010 schedule and two teams have already agreed to play there.

“We’ve got two teams that have agreed conceptually to be home teams. We’re currently trying to get the opposition confirmed,” Kirkwood told BBC 5 live.

London is likely to host both games, although Cardiff and Edinburgh could stage games in the future

Considering that teams from the east coast normally play across the pond, there are strong rumors that the Jacksonville Jaguars will almost certainly play a game there. And actually, it makes a lot of sense. Nobody here wants to see them play, not even their hometown fans. Attendance has been dismal to say the least in Jacksonville. Rarely will they get more than 40k for a game.

So don’t be surprised if they are one of the teams announced. The other? Possibly the Detroit Lions? Nah, we shouldn’t subject our English friends to that kind of abuse.
