UTEP coach Tim Floyd has meltdown; escorted off the court by police

A. Isaac Senior Editor

After being hit with his first technical foul during last night’s game at ECU, UTEP coach Tim Floyd was already on thin ice with the officials. So maybe a step back and a deep breath would have been in his best interest. But given Tim Floyd’s history of bad decision making, the following chain of events wasn’t all that shocking.

In fairness to Floyd, anytime someone is ejected from a basketball game, they’re escorted out by security. It’s just that the manner in which they are escorted out is usually a bit more cordial. A suspension is surely on the horizon for Floyd, possibly a few games if Conference USA has anything to say about it.
