VIDEO: A Rick Barnes screw-up causes young female Texas fan to cry

When slick Rick Barnes is your coach, chances are, you’re going to see a win or two slip right through your fingers. And that’s exactly what happened last night as the 4th seeded Texas Longhorns, who many believed could be a dark horse contender for the National Championship, fell to Arizona. Despite having a 2-point lead with 14.5 seconds remaining, Texas could not inbound the ball in time. Longhorns fans argued that the five second call looked a bit quick, but upon further review, Texas attempted to a call a timeout after 4 seconds (a no-no in college). Arizona then got a three-point play and the rest, they say, is history.
For this young female fan though, the travesty of the event had her overcome with tears. She did, however, manage a hook ‘em horns amidst her weeping. What a brave gal I tell ya. Shame on Rick Barnes for destroying the youthful exuberance of the Longhorns fan base.
