VIDEO: Alcides Escobar embarrassingly strikes out on a pitch that hits him

Alcides Escobar pulled off a rare feat in the 6th inning of this afternoon’s Royals-Tigers game. The shortstop swung at a two-strike pitch that hit him in the back of the shoulder and was consequently called out by home plate umpire Bill Miller.
Although manager Ned Yost came out to protest, he did so only because he felt bad for Escobar. Arguably one of the worst, most embarrassing strike outs you’ll ever see. And trust me, I’ve watched Brandon Inge for the better part of the last decade.
