It wasn’t that the Los Angeles Lakers got swept by the Dallas Mavericks, it’s that they looked lifeless in Game 4. In all honesty, it might be one of the worst performances by a defending champ in the history of NBA basketball. Yea, it was that bad. The Lakers repeatedly had no answers on the defensive side of the ball, continually leaving guys wide open because of poor rotation. Things got so bad in the 4th quarter that Lakers center Andrew Bynum took it upon himself to try and decapitate Mavericks point guard Jose Barea. It’s one of the biggest cheap shots you’ll ever see, and you can expect Bynum to more than likely sit out a few games to start off the 2011-2012 season. That is, if Bynum is still in L.A. and/or if there’s a season at all.
