VIDEO: Brutal crash causes skier to undergo brain surgery
A. Isaac This video of Austrain skier Hans Grugger is not for the faint of heart. During Saturday’s World Cup downhill event, Grugger came around a turn and couldn’t regain his balance in the air.
The result was Grugger slamming his head on the hard, compact snow.
Grugger suffered a chest injury and a brain contusion as a result of the crash. After undergoing neurosurgery, surgeons have said it’s a matter of watching and waiting to see if the world class skier can even recover from the horrific crash
