VIDEO: Did this ACC ref have money on the game?
A. Isaac During a crucial third down in the Florida State-Wake Forest game on Saturday, the refs called the chain gang out for a measurement. It seemed as if Wake Forest, the team on offense at the time, was short of the first down by a mere few inches. This ref, however, didn’t see it that way and did his damndest to alter the outcome of the game.
Perhaps my mind is playing tricks on me and perhaps I’m overreacting, but even the most ardent Demon Deacons fan has to wonder what the hell this ref was doing.
The man’s only defense may be a diagnosis of some nervous twitch or early onset Parkinson’s. Otherwise, it appears we have the ACC version of Tim Donaghy on our hands.
Also, for what it’s worth, ACC Associate Commissioner Michael Kelly said they are investigating the matter.
Yea, I’m sure you are buddy. Just make sure to fold Penny and Brain into the operation because your go-go Gadget abilities may not be enough to figure this one out.
