VIDEO: Dirk Nowitzki’s layup with 3.6 seconds left ties series
With a little under eight minutes to go, Dwyane Wade hit a three pointer to put the Miami Heat up 88-73. Celebration ensued as Wade held his pose and both him and LeBron embraced near the Mavs bench. They were clearly headed to a 2-0 commanding lead in the NBA finals.
And then Dirk Nowitzki happened. Struggling with his shot all game long, Dirk came alive in the game’s final three minutes and scored nine straight points, including this left-handed layup with 3.6 seconds left.
