This goal comes to us via the Portuguese fifth tier league. In other words, a bunch of guys in their 30s thinking they can still become the next Luis Figo. What, you didn’t think I knew my Portuguese soccer stars?
Anyways, this chap’s name is Carlos Almeida and he wisely catches the opposing goalkeeper off-guard with this strike right as the whistle blows for the beginning of the game.
It’s a hell of a shot regardless of time in the game but made even more impressive because of the precise placement it takes. Well that, and it makes the goalie look like a dumbass.
