VIDEO: Huge post-match soccer brawl includes punches and flying kicks

I claim ignorance to the ins and outs of South American soccer rivalries. Suffice it to say, after seeing this video, these two teams probably don’t get along. After leading 1-0 for most of the game, Botofago’s rival Avai was given a controversial penalty kick in the 87th minute tying the game. When the final whistle blew, all hell broke loose between the two teams. It took several minutes to restore order which included bringing in the riot police. Yes, for some reason the riot police were on hand for a friendly soccer game. Color me shocked.

For what it’s worth, this is as quality a soccer fight as you’ll ever see without somebody taking a ridiculous dive. There’s also an absurd flying kick at the 1:40 mark that would make Liu Kang from Mortal Kombat proud.
