A. Isaac Just ahead of the World Cup comes this video of New England Revolution goalie Preston Burpo suffering one of the most brutal leg injuries of all-time.
You don’t realize how bad the injury is until you see several players running away and even one player falling down at midfield in agony. We generally ridicule soccer players for faking injuries but safe to say, this one is more than legit.

So, needless to say, Burpo shattered his right tibia and fibula. At 37 years old, it’s a wonder if he’ll even consider returning from an injury like this.
