VIDEO: Not all buzzer beaters have happy endings

A handful of times a week we like to highlight a buzzer beater or two from the basketball world that we find worthy of your attention. Most, are incredible in the sense that long-distance shots often find their way into the basket to give the team a miraculous win.

But for every backwards half-court desperation heave there are shots that clank off the rim and never make the second cut. Take, for example this clip of an extremely well designed play gone awry. The player makes a great behind-the-back dribble to free himself up and has a wide open three to win it for his team.

And he throws up an epic airball. Oh well, better luck next time kid.
