VIDEO: Real Madrid drops trophy under team bus

After beating their heated rivals Barcelona to win the Copa Del Rey, Real Madrid took to the streets to celebrate. It had been 18 years since they last won it and naturally, both players and fans were excited to bring the trophy home to the streets of Madrid.
Sergio Ramos was so excited apparently, that amidst his celebration, he dropped the trophy from atop the bus. It got worse from there too. The driver couldn’t see what was going on and proceeded to run it over breaking it into several pieces.
“The cup fell, it fell,” Ramos said, according to Europa Press agency. “But the cup is OK.”
“It is not in good shape, evidently, it was run over by a bus,” Madrid spokeswoman Marta Santisteban told The Associated Press. “It has to be fixed.”
Hmmm–I’m sure something was lost in translation with that quote. Thanks for letting us know that objects getting run over by a large vehicle probably need to be repaired.
