A. Isaac Despite yet another Red Wings loss to their arch-nemesis, the San Jose Sharks, Niklas Kronwall did gave the fans at Joe Louis Arena one reason to smile. Here’s his devastating hit against Dany Heatley that all but knocked him out for the rest of the first period. Best hit of the Stanley Cup playoffs thus far.
Heatley returned to the Sharks locker room for evaluation under new rules but did pass an examination. Laymen’s terms? His marbles were all there, or at least it was a good sell job. The rest of the game was proof of this as Heatley looked sluggish in a few spots and even tried to take a run at Kronwall in the third period.
In the end though, Heatley got the last laugh as the Wings now trail his Sharks 3-0 for the second year in a row.
