VIDEO: Ron Artest thanks the hood, psychiatrist in post-game interview

While many of us were still trying to digest the Lakers winning the NBA championship, ABC was already doing a post-game interview with Ron Artest. And in typical Artest fashion, he thanked everyone from his family, his friends, the hood, his doctor and his psychiatrist.

The first question that came to my mind was: Are his doctor and psychiatrist separate entities? Then I realized I was talking about Ron Artest. For all I know, psychiatrist could be a euphemism for “guy who brings him the little blue pill so he can get through the day”. And doctor, well, that could be the guy who owns the candy store down the street.

The question of Artest’s sanity aside, he played one of the best games of his career last night. Without his offense and especially his late game three-pointer, the Lakers lose handily. But even more so, he saved teammate Kobe Bryant from having to answer questions about his dreadful shooting performance.

As a thank you, Kobe should offer to pay Artest’s psychiatric bills for life.

What'd you think of this?
