VIDEO: Saving Abel butchers National Anthem at MIS

While I’m not familiar with the band Saving Abel, I am familiar with bad renditions of our beloved National Anthem. Suffice to say that the following one performed by the group at yesterday’s Carfax 400 was one of them.

In fairness, the group performed Saturday night so maybe they just didn’t have enough in the tank. And certainly, this butchering was nowhere near a Carl Lewis-esque performance.

But from professional singers at a Nascar event? I think the crowd was probably expecting something a bit better. Luckily for Saving Abel, the jets and fireworks drowned them out at the end.
