Serena Williams has finally returned to the scene of the crime, the scene of the ugliest moment in her career. At the 2009 U.S. Open, Williams infamously threatened to a kill a lineswoman during a match against Kim Clijsters. Because of her foot injury last year, Williams has not returned to Flushing Meadows since.
Naturally, in a U.S. Open press conference, Serena was asked about the tirade and if she had learned anything from it. At first she tried to play dumb saying, “I don’t know. I don’t think about it. Are you still thinking about it?”. And then, in true sassy Serena form, she followed with a roll of the eyes and sarcastically talked about how cool and awesome she was.
Yep, Serena and her attitude are back.
