VIDEO: Soccer player kicks injured owl off the field
A. Isaac Panama defender Luis Moreno is catching some serious heat for kicking an injured owl during a game between Deportivo Pereira and Atletico Junior. To make matters worse, the owl is also Atletico’s mascot.
Don’t worry hooter lovers, the owl is being treated for a fractured right leg and it appears he’ll make a full recovery. Moreno later apologized saying “I didn’t know he was a good-luck charm for the other team”. However, he failed to explain why he felt the need to drop kick an injured animal.
Hmmm.
Maybe PETA can halt their incessant protests of Mike Vick for a day or two, head down to South America and beat Moreno’s ass. They might as well serve some kind of purpose.
