Video: The Jimmy Howard, Sidney Crosby confrontation

I’ll attempt to leave my Detroit bias and disdain for the Penguins Sidney Crosby at the door. Actually, never mind, Sidney Crosby is a huge p—y. After several Crosby cheap shots on Henrik Zetterberg at the end of a 3-1 Red Wings victory, Jimmy Howard had seen enough. He gave Crosby a face wash he won’t soon forget.

These teams are becoming bitter rivals. They’ve met in the last two Stanley Cups with Pittsburgh winning last years Cup on Detroit’s home ice. Though the Red Wings have been beat up this entire year with injuries, they seem to be rounding into form at just the right time. Currently, they sit in the 8th playoff spot in the West but with 10 games remaining, they are only 4 points behind 5th seed Los Angeles. It’ll be interesting to see how much noise they can make in the playoffs, especially if they find themselves in a finals rematch with the Penguins.
