Sabine Lisicki was getting absolutely annihilated by Agnieszka Radwanska in the quarterfinals of the Dubai Duty Free Championships when she called her mother over for some guidance. Yes, her mother (also coach) came down to wipe away her tears.
This actually happened folks.
Lisicki is a 22-year-old woman who’s had success around the globe including 3 WTA titles and a semifinal appearance at Wimbledon last year.
She’s known on tour as a bit of a drama queen but suffice it to say, this was a clear low point for her.
