VIDEO: This is a motocross dude getting his face impaled
Chris Spags At first glance, this video looks like a guy doing a recreation of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog’s famous cigar, only with blood on his cheek. In actuality, it’s a motocross guy who got impaled by a small hung of tree branch. It’s a little graphic so tread lightly.
The good news is that after a three hour trip to the hospital and emergency surgery, the guy is fine. The bad news is that the branch was killed. It’s survived by two twigs and a lonely ant.
Either way, really encouraging to see how well helmets work with this type of thing. I appreciate the protection from skull cracking and all that, but it’d be nice to also have this five pound thing on my head protecting me from getting stabbed in the face. Maybe I expect too much.
