VIDEO: Timberwolves get 5 technical fouls in 10 seconds

Surprisingly, the 5 technicals in 10 seconds did not include league-leader Dwight Howard or a resurrected Rasheed Wallace. No, it was the Minnesota Timberwolves who were on the wrong side of the whistle last night as head coach Kurt Rambis was ejected during the technical bonanza.

At some point, the NBA is going to have to address these new rules they’ve embarked upon this year. Otherwise, the last 10 games or so of the season could get very ugly as guys like the aforementioned Dwight Howard serve multiple game suspensions.

Yes, I’m sure you’ll tell me the onus is on the player to adjust. But for too long, they were allowed a certain amount of leeway. A quick, one-year seismic shift doesn’t seem like it helped anybody involved.

By the way, the ref with the quick, trigger finger is none other than Ken Mauer. An official Rasheed Wallace once hilariously referred to as “Little Pat Riley” because of his hairdo.

What'd you think of this?
