VIDEO: Vancouver Canucks advance to Stanley Cup on wild goal

The Vancouver Canucks advanced to their third ever Stanley Cup last night on a wild goal from Kevin Bieksa. As most of the Sharks believed the puck to be out of the play (including goalie Antti Niemi), the puck caromed off the sideboards onto Bieksa’s stick who sent a knuckler towards net.

This will be the Canucks first Stanley Cup appearance since 1994, when they lost to Mark Messier and the New York Rangers. As for the Sharks, although they advanced to the Western Conference Finals two years in a row, they only have one win to show for it. Maybe that grinding seven game series with the Detroit Red Wings did a lot more damage than any of them thought. Or maybe, just maybe, they got distracted from that boob flashing Canucks fan.
