A. Isaac Victor Martinez has been a welcome addition to a Tigers team that was in desperate need of a reliable bat. Especially a bat that can protect Miguel Cabrera when teams opt to pitch around him.
But as good as Martinez has been at the plate and as a serviceable backup catcher, nobody could have expected him to produce this kind of highlight on the basepaths. Watch as he pulls some fleet of foot moves around Kurt Suzuki before finally tagging home plate last night.
