VIDEO: Wayne Simmonds hurls homophobic slur at Sean Avery
A. Isaac Wayne Simmonds was involved in yet another ugly incident during a game last night. Unfortunately for him however, it appears he’s the bad guy this time.
After getting into it with Rangers instigator Sean Avery, Simmonds hurled this homophobic slur in his direction.

My lip reading skills are sub-par but I don’t think Simmonds and Avery will be discussing gay marriage over drinks anytime in the near future.
Here’s what Simmonds had to say after the game:
Honestly, we were going back and forth for a while there. I don’t recall everything that I did say to him but he said to me some things I didn’t like and maybe I said some things that he didn’t like. I can’t recall every single word I said.
Translation? Oops, the cameras caught me.
Of course, this incident comes only days after someone threw a banana at Simmonds during a shootout. Despite a reward being offered, the person has yet to be identified.
