Iowa at Michigan State

I was more scared of that game against the Hoosiers last week. Iowa dropped a game to Northwestern that they had a lead in. Now, I know Northwestern is a solid team but that has to be extremely disappointing. Once again, I believe Iowa will sell out against the run and probably have success doing it. If Hoyer can actually be accurate early, State could run away. But my faith in Hoyer is a bit shaken.

Illinois at Michigan

I didn’t think Michigan could score enough points last week to Wisconsin. They obviously proved me wrong but they definitely needed some help from the Badgers in that comeback. In fact, that slant pass that Evridge threw that came back from a TD remains as the single dumbest play I’ve seen this season in college football. Nonetheless, UMs defense stepped up the plate and their defensive line really bailed them out when it was looking ugly. This week they’ll face a quarterback who can actually make plays running or passing. Even though I believe Illinois is a better team, I think they will struggle on the road. As long as UM can keep the ball off the carpet, they have an excellent chance of winning.

Chicago at Detroit

The blackout just got lifted on the Lions game. I don’t know what company was stupid enough to get suckered into buying 2000 tickets for advertising. And in this econonmy, that has to be one of the worst financial decisions of all-time. As for the game, well, the Bears are a solid football team. The Lions are one of the 3 or 4 worst teams in the league. They have a lame duck head coach and a quarterback who probably won’t be starting in 3 weeks. Who do you think’s going to win?
