Why even show up?

When I was in 7th grade, our team got blown out pretty bad. I think it was something like a 38 point loss. It was one of those things I was ashamed to be a part of. Our coach ran us to death the next practice.

So I really wonder how the Temple Baptist coach will handle his team’s 119 point loss to the mighty warriors of Wayne State University.

Would suicides really suffice here as punishment? I’m thinking even a marathon wouldn’t serve this loss justice.
